I remember it being like Christmas morning the day I realized scripture said, “US” and “OUR.” JESUS!! From the very beginning, Scripture points to Jesus.
This time I was told to slow down and journey through reading the Bible in one year very SLOWLY! Journal, pray, and make notes. It’s been fascinating - seeing the things I questioned the first two times - illuminate in front of my eyes with answers to my heart’s questions. Reading the Bible all the way through has been the very essence of who I am now. I went in hating the Bible. Reading it for the first time, start to finish, as a devil's advocate, and I didn’t even make it through 1 Samuel without being entirely transformed by God’s Word. I ended up finishing it in 6 months.
So here I am. A baby Christian still, really. And in awe of what my whole life has missed out on. I use to have the Bible thrown in my face as a weapon. It was used to cherry pick and spit hateful words to me. Now I know better. Now I know how beautiful His Word is and NO ONE can lie to me anymore about what Gods Word says. And I pray I get to pay it forward for anyone else out there who questions the love of God for themselves. I am here not to tell you but to point you to the amazing grace and love of God. To Jesus’ gentle and lowly heart, and to point you to know your worth as a beautiful creation of a child of God. 🥰🥰🥰
My Challenge for You
READ YOUR BIBLE! Start at the beginning and don’t stop reading till the end. Don't let me or anyone else tell you what God’s perfect Word states. Go seek it! You won’t be disappointed! I wouldn't want to rob you of the most beautiful Words ever displayed in a masterpiece. Read it for yourself! Start at the beginning and go all the way through. Don't rob yourself of skipping around anymore. Just open your Bible and read!
