"Devotion" - A New Name Given By a Friend From God

Mustard Seed + Coffee blog has officially been renamed "Devotion." A blog dedicated to simply devoting my life to Jesus. Share the raw and ugly of my failures to rejoice and celebrate the successes of following the path God guides within my life. To teach and discuss what I learn and question. To just simply share life as a human who decides to choose every single day to love and follow Jesus.

I struggle daily. Some days are more like hourly, but I love our God with all my heart. I am in pursuit of His beautiful Heart. And I want nothing more than to truly KNOW Him. To dwell in His Presence and His amazing Word.

If you know me, you know I am OBSESSED with the Bible. I have read it cover-to-cover 4-5 times within 2 years and currently reading it all the way through in CSB and ESV translations this year. My obsession with talking about the Bible led to another girl and me discussing reading the whole Bible in a year together. This led to about 12 other women reading along too, and now a weekly women's meet-up that genuinely brings so much joy to my week. I adore each of the women who attend weekly, and I love hearing and discussing what was revealed to them while reading each week. I love them all so much and constantly pray for them now. I mean, GOD IS INCREDIBLE y'all! He shows me that goodness in the eyes and hearts of every single one of these women.

Anywho, because of one beautiful ladies' incredible dream, we no longer have the Mustard Seed + Coffee blog anymore - we now have the Devotion blog. Because I am no longer that "baby Christian" taping my feet in the water and doubting everything I read. I now know and believe the Bible to be the ultimate truth. I know my God's Word is everything, and I don't question it any longer. Even when I don't fully understand some verses - I now am in pursuit to re-read the Bible all over again so that He will reveal something new to me. Sometimes it is the answer to my former questions; sometimes, it is something completely new I never even thought of before. But at the end of the day, I know His Word is the ultimate truth, and it truly is my living water. It is my bread of life. I cannot survive without being in His Word every single day.

Trust me, YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE AROUND ME if I have been out of His Word for more than 3 days. It is NOT pretty. I need God and His Word just like I need water and bread to survive in life. He is becoming more and more of my everything, and I just simply do not want to ever go a single second without Him. I honestly hate when I go hours without talking about Him. There's so much to share, so much to know, and oh my goodness - HE IS AMAZING! Have I mentioned that yet? Lol

God has revealed much more through my beautiful friend's prophetic dream, but only time will tell when it all comes into motion. I know His Promises are true. I know His Promises stand, and I plan to walk out in faithful obedience to His calling upon my life. But let's be honest, I will mess up… A LOT. I'm human, but I plan to try my hardest, lol.

I hope you subscribe and enjoy this blog. But I primarily pray that this blog will make you thirsty to KNOW HIM more, to want to pursue God yourself, and read His beautiful Word cover-to-cover as well. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you want someone to read with you. I genuinely LOVE reading the Bible cover-to-cover and helping others find their own journey in knowing who God truly is! Like He states in Exodus 34:6-7

"The Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed:

The Lord—the Lord is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth, maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But he will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers' iniquity on the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation."

Our God is incredible y'all! Will you join me on this journey to know Him and pursue His Heart?
